Snow-Covered Forest Sea Welcomes Grand Event; Rugged Equipment Builds the Plateau. From May 28 to 30, 2026, the 2026 China Engineering Construction (Linzhi) Expo, themed "Peak Convergence · Equipment Driving · Boosting Plateau Century Projects," was grandly held in Linzhi, Tibet. Chongqing Sanming Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "Sanming Heavy Industry") participated in this grand event, focusing on extreme high-altitude and plateau conditions. The company brought customized crushing production lines and plateau-adapted solutions to the expo. Leveraging 30 years of technical expertise in mining crushing, Sanming Heavy Industry addresses key challenges such as plateau infrastructure, mining operations, and high-standard aggregate production, fully supporting the high-quality construction of super projects and green mines in the Tibet region.

To address the actual working conditions in Tibet—such as high altitude, low temperature, oxygen deficiency, complex geology, abundant hard materials, and limited construction space—Sanming Heavy Industry showcased its main equipment models specifically adapted for plateau operations. These include the PEW deep-cavity jaw crusher, HPT multi-cylinder cone crusher, FPB compound spring cone crusher, and ULS vertical shaft impact crusher, forming a complete crushing system covering the entire process from primary crushing to medium-fine crushing and sand shaping.

Additionally, the equipment has undergone targeted optimizations for plateau environments, featuring cold-resistant and durable performance, stable operation, and controllable energy consumption. It is suitable for processing hard materials such as basalt and limestone, and is widely used in projects including water conservancy and hydropower, mining, and high-standard manufactured aggregates. Also showcased was the plateau-modularized production line, which features a high degree of integration, low reliance on civil construction, quick assembly and disassembly, and flexible relocation—effectively adapting to the characteristics of dispersed construction sites and multi-point operations on the plateau, thereby significantly improving construction efficiency and reducing overall construction costs.

Deepening Presence in Snowy Plateau Markets, Empowering New Infrastructure on the Highlands

Leveraging the strategic advantages of its headquarters in Chongqing and regional service centers in Xinjiang and Tibet, Sanming Heavy Industry has long been deeply engaged in the plateau markets of Southwest China. Recently, the aggregate production line project for the basalt mine of Turpan State-owned Investment in Xinjiang — for which Chongqing Sanming Heavy Industry has undertaken the full-process technological design and complete equipment supply — is steadily advancing with equipment installation and commissioning preparations at the Turpan mining area. Leveraging local high-quality basalt mineral resources, the project focuses on the production of high-standard engineering aggregates. The entire production line is equipped with high-performance complete crushing and screening units as well as an intelligent management and control system. The overall construction is progressing in an orderly manner, and official commissioning and operation are scheduled to kick off in June 2026.

Located in the Gobi mining area of Turpan City, the Turpan State-owned Basalt Mine in Xinjiang features intense sunlight, a large diurnal temperature range and frequent wind and sand. These harsh conditions impose stringent requirements on the wear resistance, operational stability and continuous working capacity of crushing equipment.

Designed with an annual output of 2 million tons of high-quality basalt aggregates, the project mainly produces high-end building materials including highway and railway ballast, concrete crushed stone, earth-rock materials and basalt rock wool raw materials. It serves as a key raw material supply base for high-standard infrastructure and new material industries in the region.

Drawing on years of expertise in mine crushing technology, Chongqing Sanming Heavy Industry has tailored a proven process solution of deep-chamber primary crushing + cone secondary crushing + vertical shaft shaping & sand making + multi-stage screening in light of the high hardness and strong abrasiveness of basalt. Equipped with a full set of intelligent control systems, the solution ensures finished aggregates with regular particle shape, stable gradation and qualified strength, fully meeting the material standards for high-grade infrastructure construction.

Complete Equipment Configuration for the Entire Production Line

To meet the demands for large-scale and standardized basalt production, the project is equipped with a full range of high-performance main crushing and screening units, featuring a scientifically structured process and well-balanced production capacity.

Primary Crushing: One deep-chamber jaw crusher is deployed. Featuring a dead-space-free crushing cavity, it delivers large feed capacity and high material throughput. It efficiently handles primary crushing of large lumpy basalt ore. With excellent wear resistance and rugged construction, the unit is well suited for long-duration continuous operation at the mining site.

Secondary Crushing: Two spring cone crushers are installed. Optimized with laminated crushing technology specifically for high-hardness rock, they effectively reduce the content of flaky and elongated particles and improve aggregate density, providing core support for the production of ballast and high-standard crushed stone.

Shaping & Sand Making: One vertical shaft impact crusher is equipped. Integrating crushing, shaping and sand making functions, it finely optimizes aggregate particle shapes and meets the production standards for manufactured basalt sand and rock wool raw materials.

Screening: The system adopts a multi-stage screening combination consisting of one circular vibrating screen and three double-shaft vibrating screens. It features high classification accuracy and large processing capacity, enabling precise separation of finished materials of various specifications and simultaneous production of multiple product types.

Intelligent Control System: The entire line is equipped with the intelligent centralized control system developed by Sanming Heavy Industry. It supports one-click start/stop and linked operation of all equipment, real-time operating condition monitoring, automatic fault early warning and intelligent energy consumption management. This greatly improves the automation level of the production line, cuts labor and maintenance costs, and ensures continuous, stable and high-yield operation.

Project Construction Value

The launch of the Turpan State-owned Basalt Mine Project marks another benchmark application of Chongqing Sanming Heavy Industry’s high-hardness rock crushing technologies and complete equipment in large building material mines across Northwest China. With proven processes and well-selected equipment, the production line features high output, superior quality, low energy consumption and easy maintenance, fully adapting to long-term stable operation under the harsh working conditions of Gobi mining areas.
